Hoppy Art Land

Hoppy Art Land is the project where Hoppy collaborate monthly with a wide range of artists and designers from around the world to create an original work based around the seasons, Japan, artist’s home country, and the HOPPY brand.

It’s finally warm out. We grab a picnic blanket, go to the park, spread Obento and refreshing drinks. This marks a joyous celebration of the enchanting arrival of spring, with pink petals gently wafting through the air, adorning the ground in a beautiful Sakura carpet.

Appreciating and celebrating the four seasons through the preparation and enjoyment of meals inspired by nature and folklore is a cherished Japanese tradition, and it plays a very important role in shaping Japanese culture in my family. Ohanami, in particular, has always held a special place in my heart – a combination of a lovely flowering tree and simple but delightful food, always has reminded me of the importance of celebration of simple joys in life. After relocating to Minnesota, where it feels like winter lasts nearly ⅔ of a year(!), Ohanami has taken on a more profound significance for me. I celebrate the arrival of Spring more than anything these days, really!
