The Visual Resources Association (VRA) 2024 Conference
I designed the visual identity for the Visual Resources Association (VRA) 2024 Conference held in Minneapolis, MN. The design was featured on the conference website for promotional purposes and printed on the tote bag provided to attendees.
During the brainstorming and design process, the art director and I discussed the defining characteristics of both the Visual Resources Association and the city of Minneapolis. For VRA, photo slides are an iconic visual element, so I incorporated them into the design.
I paired this with local Minneapolis touches—such as the city’s biking culture, kayaking, notable landmarks like Gold Medal and the Cherry on Spoon bridge, and the state bird, the loon. This combination created a design that resonates with visual researchers while also serving as a meaningful keepsake for attendees visiting Minneapolis.
